Information note on the rights of personal data subjects
By DECISION of the National Center for the Protection of Personal Data no. DD-1406900404748 of 01-08-2014, the Competition Council was registered as a personal data operator with no. 0000150.
According to the Law on the protection of personal data no. 133 of 08.07.2011, personal data is any information related to an identified or identifiable natural person (subject of personal data). The identifiable person is the person who can be identified, directly or indirectly, by reference to an identification number or to one or more specific elements of his physical, physiological, psychological, economic, cultural or social identity.
In exercising its powers and obligations, the Competition Council is entitled to request and receive from public authorities, legal and natural persons documents, records, information and data necessary for the exercise of its powers of investigation of anti-competitive practices, unfair competition and other violations of the field of competition, state aid and advertising, registered in the established manner, in accordance with the provisions of art. 39 of the Competition Law no. 183 of 11.07.2012.
In the given context, the Competition Council processes personal data in accordance with the provisions of the Law on the Protection of Personal Data no. 133 of 07/08/2011, being registered, in the appropriate manner, in the Record Register of personal data operators.
In accordance with the provisions of art. art. 12-18 of the Law on the protection of personal data no. 133 of 08.07.2011, the subject of personal data has the right of information, the right of access to personal data, the right of intervention on personal data, the right of opposition of the subject of personal data, the right not to be subject to an individual decision, the right of access to justice.
In order to exercise the rights provided by the Law, the subject of personal data is entitled to address a written request to the Competition Council
