"Today, Mrs. Viorica CARARE, President of Competition Council, met with the representative of Directorate-General for Neighbourhood and Enlargement Negotiations of the European Commission, Mr. Mihai KELLER, TAIEX Project Officer. The objective of the meeting was to discuss new priorities of collaboration with the European Commission in order to promote the experience of EU Member States through TAIEX activities.
Since its foundation, the Competition Council has implemented numerous EU projects, focusing on the priority of transfer and implementation of EU best practice in the Republic of Moldova.
In the framework of 2017 external assistance projects, one of the best results accomplished was the organization of a Regional TAIEX Project, as a first-time experience. Within this project the Competition Council participated at the same time as a beneficiary institution and host for regional neighbours: Georgia and Ukraine.
In this respect, Mr. Mihai KELLER mentioned the fact that the EU welcomes the reforms done by countries in Eastern Europe and encourages the Competition Council to take part in further activities organised via the TAIEX facility.
In return, Mrs. President expressed the Competition Council's readiness to take part in the exchange of experience and to get actively involved in the process of promotion of EU best practice both individually, and together with the Ukrainian and Georgian colleagues."
