Support under EU TAIEX Project on notification, examination and reporting state aid

The Competition Council has benefited of a technical assistance and information exchange under EU TAIEX Project for implementing state aid legal framework in accordance with EU legislation.

The expert mission was conducted on 07-08 December 2015 and offered assistance on notification, examination and reporting state aid. During the mission the Competition Council's personnel participated in discussions under the topics presented by EU expert, Mrs. Eszter HARGITA, Head of Unit, State Aid Monitoring Office, Hungary, as well as in practical activities and trainings.

The discussions were focused on identification, preliminary examination, investigation and recovery of unlawful state aid, alignment of state aid schemes, instituted before the establishment of the Competition Council to the requirements of the legislation in the state aid domain, state aid assessment based on its form, particularly the one of the fiscal nature.
