Evidentiary issues in establishing abuse of dominance discussed during the Workshop held in Budapesta (Hungary)

     Between 02 to 04 December 2014 in Budapest, Hungary was held the Workshop on the evidentiary issues in establishing abuse of dominance, organized by the OECD- GVH Regional Centre for Competition in Budapest (Hungary).

     As the representatives of the Competition Council  which attended the seminar was Elena SEDLETCHI, chief state controller of the Legal Directorate and Margarita BALICA, state controler of the Horizontal State Aid Directorate.

     At the same time, at the seminar mentioned above have participated the representatives from the competition authorities of Albania, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Bosnia şi Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croaţia, Georgia, Kazahstan, Kosovo, Kîrgîzstan, FYR of Macedonia, Montenegro, the Russian Federation, Serbia and Ukraine.

     During the seminar were discussed the main issues related to the establishing abuse of dominance. The seminare explored these issues through presentations by competition officials from OECD countries, case studies prezented by the participants (Moldova, Kîrgîzstan, Federaţia Rusă, Serbia) and hypotetical case studies.

     The representatives of the Competition Council  have presented a case study which raised a lot of questions and discussions that have been successfully answered and debated.
