Regulation on state aid for regional development was published

     On 18 October 2013 the Decision of the Plenum of the Competition Council no 4 as of 30 August 2013 (Official Gazette of the Republic of Moldova no 228-232 as of 11.10.2013) entered into force, approving the Regulation on state aid for regional development.

     The regulation at issue is drafted in view of enforcing the Law on state aid no 139 as of 15.06.2012 and transposed the European norms related to state aid for regional development.

     The Regulation transposes norms on applying the regional state aid for investments granted to large, small and medium sized enterprises, regional aid for newly created enterprises, and in certain extraordinary circumstances aid for operation, orientatioin, and in all cases to poorly developed regions.

     The Regulation on state aid for regional development provides for the necessity of sustaining the regional development, ways of sustenance by supporting investments and creation of new jobs, by extension and diversifying the economic activities of the undertakings situated in the poorly developed regions by encouraging the undertakings to establish new units in these regions.
