On Tuesday, September 30, 2014 a Video Conference Chisinau – Washington was held, conducted under the Technical Assistance Project of the World Bank Group (WBG), Competition Council being the beneficiary of this Project.
The main objective of this project is to create an online information portal for state aid, which will ensure transparency of granting and usage of granted state aid, and respectively, a more efficient allocation of state resources. All the market players will benefit of the results of the Project.
The video conference was attended by experts of the World Bank Group, representatives of the Competition Council of the Republic of Moldova and of the company that has been developing the portal.
In the video conference was assessed the progress under the respective Project, also, future plans being drafted, including SIRASM’s implementation phases, options for improving information portal to increase its efficiency; preliminary results of the state aid inventory.
Concomitantly, the World Bank Group experts have come up with a proposal to provide technical assistance in carrying out an eventual analysis of two newly notified aid schemes, in reviewing some existing regulations based on one year experience and in developing policy documents of Competition and State Aid.
