On 8 May, in Vienna (Austria), was held a workshop, organized by Energy Community, with the subject : State aid granted to beneficiaries of general economic interest (SGEI).

              As representatives of the Competition Council of the Republic of Moldova, participated Ion Maxim, member of the Plenum of the Competition Council and Girdea Dumitru, Head of Sectoral State Aid Department.

              The seminar was focused on issues concerning the methodology for assessing state aid projects in the energy sector, applying state aid rules in member countries of the Energy Community.

            Also, at the seminar the representative of the Competition Council presented the Informational system State Aid Register of Moldova (SIRASM) with all its possibilities.

            The importance of this unique system, which offers the notification and reporting online state aid contributes to efficient use of resources from the state budget and allow each state aid provider to complete forms electronically, it was appreciated by all  participants, inciting further discussion and questions.

             In conclusion Mr Dirk Busch, Deputy Director of the Energy Community, mentioned the importance of this innovative project as for Moldova so for all Community, noting also the availability to offer support in promoting SIRASM.

           Moldova became a full member of the European Energy Community in 2010.
