On March 18, the President of the Competition Council, Mr. Alexei GHERȚESCU, had a meeting with the members of the American Chamber of Commerce in Moldova (AmCham Moldova).
During the meeting, topics with reference to legislative and competitive policy issues, public communication and transparency, promotion of the competitive culture were approached and discussed.
The event emphasizes the openness and interest of both the Competition Council and the American Chamber of Commerce in Moldova (AmCham Moldova) to engage in a future continuous dialogue in order to align public and private priorities to ensure the continuous development of an environment conducive to business conduct, boosting foreign investment and sustainable economic growth.
During the meeting, there were established some concrete problems in respect of which AmCham and the Competition Council could initiate cooperation in the shortest time, for example: establishing clear criteria for public access to information and documents regarding the ongoing files, streamlining the process of collecting information from economic agents, aligning the competition legislation to European standards, etc.
The Competition Council remains available for an open dialogue with the business environment in order to ensure transparency and efficiency in its activity.
