In accordance with the provisions of Article 9 of Law No. 239/2008 on Transparency in the Decision-Making Process and Article 20(1)(a) of Law No. 100/2017 on Normative Acts, the Competition Council announces the initiation of the drafting process for proposals to amend the Competition Law No. 183/2012, which will be submitted to the Ministry of Economic Development and Digitalization for further promotion.
In order to align the national regulatory framework with the EU acquis on competition and to fulfill the commitments undertaken by the Republic of Moldova in the accession process, in accordance with the National Program for Moldova’s Accession to the EU, it is necessary to harmonize the Competition Law No. 183/2012.
In order to ensure decision-making transparency and enhance the efficiency of the drafting process for the proposed amendments to Competition Law No. 183/2012, we request the submission of opinions, proposals, and recommendations regarding this initiative by March 25, 2025.
